Trump’s arraignment: The scene outside the Miami courthouse
The Miami courthouse was a chaotic scene as journalists eagerly anticipated the arrival of the former president. There were peculiar sights such as a pig's head on a spike and Uncle Sam riding a hoverboard.
It seems like the scene outside of the federal courthouse in Miami, Florida was relatively quiet until a man dressed as Uncle Sam on a hoverboard began singing a tribute to Donald Trump and his supporters. This performance caused a stir among reporters and photographers who were waiting for the former president's arraignment.
Officials in the area are preparing for possible protests surrounding the courthouse where Trump is scheduled to receive the 37 criminal charges related to mishandling classified documents. Trump has denied these charges and claims they are part of an effort to sabotage his 2024 presidential campaign. There are concerns about the possibility of political violence and far-right demonstrations in Miami, similar to the events that took place during the January 6th attack on the Capitol. Despite these concerns, only a few of Trump's supporters have shown up at the courthouse so far, and the majority of people at the scene are reporters.
A man holding a pig's head on a spike while draped in an American flag posed for pictures while blood and other fluids dripped from the animal's head. He explained that his actions were inspired by the novel "Lord of the Flies," which examines themes of leadership, violence, and disorder.

Duane Schwingel, who was dressed as Uncle Sam with an American flag-themed outfit, was present at the courthouse to express his support for freedom, democracy, fighting communism, and equal justice. Many of Trump's supporters who were interviewed by Al Jazeera pointed out what they perceived to be scandals involving Democrats that went unpunished, such as Hillary Clinton's emails, Hunter Biden's business dealings, and President Biden's own issues with retaining classified documents. While these controversies were investigated by law enforcement and have their own nuances, Trump's supporters feel that he is being unfairly targeted while others are not held accountable.
Chaunce O'Connor, who carried a large Trump flag while riding his bike, reminded people that everyone should be treated equally, regardless of their political affiliation. He also mentioned that there is evidence against both Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden, but they have not been charged. Despite Trump's hostility towards mainstream media, his supporters at the courthouse on Tuesday were mostly friendly and cheerful. There was a brief security alert when a suspicious device was found, but the area was cleared and declared safe by the police.
